Where can I buy Akadama ?

Thanks Clas. Now I have another question. The Akadama they sell seems to be the one that is dried at 220°C, not the one from another area of Japan that is burned at 1200°C. I have heard that the dried Akadama very easily crumbles to dust. Is that true ? I want to use the Akadama with a bottom filter so I need to make sure it doesn't fall apart.

Enligt en "veteran" på plantswap blir den till sand ganska fort men det har inte jag märkt! dock så har jag inte rotat runt i det så mycket. har haft karet igång sedan i julas.

You will need the Double Line Akadama for aquarium use.
I have Akadama in all my shrimp tanks, and i can only recommend it.. :)

The photo of the Akadama from bonsai.nu and the photo of that Akadama from Green Dragon bonsai are the same.

BUT...

Double line brand doesn't mean that it is actually burned (it is the company name). The 1200°C burned Akadama is the Yaki-Akadama from "Green life". Since I want to use a bottom filter I am worried that the "normal" dried Akadama will clogg the filter.

Som bonsaisubstrat finns också vulkansand/grus, skulle det vara något, heter Kiryu:D ?
Jag vet inte vad det är för grovlek på den sanden, gruset, men den faller defentivt inte sönder :D :D !!!

vulkan gruset är väldigt lätt och således svårt att plantera växter i och dessutom innehåller den ingen näring! rätta mig gärna om jag har fel!

Nej den innehåller ingen direkt näring, men som bottensubstrat om man ska ha bottenfilter så fungerar det, det är lika mycket pill att plantera i kattsand som också är mycket lätt och så var det bara ett förslag :D :D !!!

tycker att det är lätt att plantera i akadama! växterna sitter kvar hyggligt! nästa kar ska jag prova med kattsand!
